It caught me off guard that the two Absolute Batman/WW crossover issues aren't parts of the same story since they're releasing about a month apart. I was expecting a cliffhanger, but the first issue wrapped up neatly and Diana left Gotham.

A little disappointed with the first Absolute Universe crossover between Batman and Wonder Woman. It wasn't bad, but felt weak. Glad it at least subverted some of the usual team-up tropes. Hopefully next month's is stronger.

I started this digital sketch before my father passed. I suppose I dropped a lot of things at the time. Anyway, perhaps finishing the sketch allowed a little extra closure. I will always associate Batman with my father, so perhaps every time I draw him, I'm bringing my father back a little bit.
