People clown on this head sculpt (and they're not entirely wrong for it), but it sure is a massive improvement over Hasbro's previous attempt at "McFarlane" Spider-Man. Imo one of the worst Spidey heads ever released.

It definitely wasn't a mistake, but the effect is subtle. Maybe not worth the effort, idk. It's a bit more noticeable in person.
Spider-Man's head on a pike. And by that, I mean a wooden dowel. And by that, I mean a chopstick. And by Spider-Man's head, I mean a Marvel Legend action figure of Spider-Man. The head has been turned matte while the eyes/lenses are still the original unfinished plastic, which has left them slightly more metallic. Also you can see some other action figures in the background from the Marvel Select line, like Hulk, Beta Ray Bill, and another Spidey. Various Spider-Man action figure parts laid out, now fairly matte after applying Mr. Hobby Mr. Super Clear matte spray.

I should be clear that the librarians and other employees probably all think this is stupid as fuck. Their hands are being forced. I hope they fight it.

I think the worst part is that they also had to remove all of the information explaining why the books they're featuring were banned/censored.
