This reminded me of the book Good to Great, which I think had a chapter on a small NC newspaper that was doing great when other papers were sinking. Secret? Using lots of photos of locals.

In 1788, NC's elected delegates met in Hillsborough to discuss ratifying the Constitution. That convention voted against ratification, on the grounds that the proposed Constitution lacked enough guardrails to protect individual liberty. In that spirit, I will be in Hillsborough today for No Kings.
