TIL that it's a reference to a Brazilian saying, 'cobra vai fumar' (a snake will smoke), used in the same way as the English expression 'and pigs might fly'. People were sceptical about Brazil's commitment to the war effort, doubting that their involvement would mean anything substantial. 1/2

A group of far right assholes have showed up to protest at David Douglas high school after students allegedly pushed back at a formation of a turning point chapter. School is out & they are outnumbered by predominantly Black & Brown students roasting the fuck out of them.
