I'm just one person, and my programming needs are somewhat unusual (building various kinds of statistical forecasting models). But I'm just not seeing the consistent productivity gains from LLMs that I would have expected if you'd asked me 6 months ago.

The best I can suggest is to cut a smaller hole in the bag of rice you're pouring than you normally would so you don't have a lot of room for rice to get out. It will go a little slower filling the bins, but it will stay where you want it.

I've bee trying for the last year-ish to focus on what outcome I want from a conversation/interaction. Do I want to change minds? Being mean will have the opposite effect. Do I want to vent my own pain/fear about the world around us? Being mean will do it, but is that really a goal worth pursuing?

I really wish people would think carefully before sharing any sort of Politico or Axios Dems in disarray type story, especially ones quoting unnamed centrist Democrats. Think of who benefits when you share those stories and use them to drive conversation. Because it sure as hell ain't our side.
