If you are going to a protest today: I hope you are all fine. I really hope everything goes well. If it doesn’t, though- shut the fuck up and only use WATER to wash out tear gas/pepper spray/whatever, and do not touch or handle canisters, detonated or not.

Also wear a mask and drink water.

Happy #wednesday100! Have some post-finale thoughts in the form of drabbles! Feeling very emotional about Mrs. Fitz and Jamie’s relationship after watching her with Ellen in BoMB 🥺 and of course I’m never not thinking about my beloved Beauchamps 😭

She’d heard he was coming to Leoch, but nothing could’ve prepared her for the sight of him, a lad of sixteen now — his father’s features with that MacKenzie height and build, his mother’s red hair…

She couldn’t say to him all that she wished — that she’d loved Lady Ellen, that she’d wept in her husband’s arms when news spread of her death, but that she’d always been glad Ellen had chosen her own happiness in life. Instead, Glenna told the lad, simply, honestly, “Welcome to Leoch, Jamie. You can come to me for anything,” and hoped he saw truth there.

“It’s called a bivalve shell, Mummy,” Claire says for the third time, holding up two fingers to demonstrate, “Because it has two sides.”

“Yes, my darling.” Julia crouches and presses a kiss to Claire’s sweet face. “But even bivalve shells must be put away so little girls can take their baths and go to sleep.”

“And have a story,” Claire insists, bouncing on her toes.

“Of course.”

She is excited for the trip with Henry, but she’s also dreaming of this time next year with another baby. Our greatest adventure has always been you, she thinks and kisses Claire goodnight.
