Monifa is a young black woman with vitiligo sporting a pink strawberry patterned wrap around her head with some of her hair sticking out- stylized dot eyes, a blue shirt, brown belt, and green khaki shorts. Palinea is a mantis-like alien with purple skin, magenta eyes, violet eyeshadow, a veil, an indigo coloured dress, and a pomegranate crown. Panel 3 shows a workbench and tool board with various tools on it, like a saw, drill, wrench, and a screwdriver, along with some nuts and screws. Panel 3 displays a wall of pinup posters of various people; some are references to various fictional characters, such as Captain Price, Simon Riley, and more. Panel 5 has a closeup on the edge of a table, a stained coffee mug taking center focus. The words read 'Universe's Best Mech'; behind it, an elevated platform is in front of a vehicle. The background shows various pipes, larger tools, and a speaker on its wall. Panel 6 focuses on Monifa, a young black woman with vitiligo, working with determination on a space buggy. She is one of the head mechanics of her dad's shop. Behind her are several pipes, fans, tires, another toolboard, storage closets, an automated door, and other paraphernalia that can be found in a mechanic's shop.
Panel 5: a clock on a wall rings 7 pm, signalling the end of the working day. Monifa wipes the sweat on her head as she says, "Phew, finally! 7 pm! Working on nothing but ion-alley engines and ZG bikes tires you out!". In panel 6, she clicks on a button with her foot to begin the platform's descension back to the ground. "At least now, I can take my time in cleaning up for the night", she laments, "If I'm lucky, I can catch the shuttle and get a Star Bit Tea at Rosa's!". Panel 7 has Monifa now back to the floor; behind her, the door begins to open as rapid footsteps can be heard. She wonders why she can hear boss music when suddenly, Gelly bursts through the door, startling Monifa. Gelly is a slime creature with an upturned cowlick on his head and is a regular at the shop. He cries out "Monifa! Ya gotta help me, my car broke!" End of page 1.

Page 4 from Hivemind. Terese, the protagonist, is fighting against a monster, nearly dying until Butch steps in. He shoots the monster point blank to the head, firing their pistol until the magazine empties.
