HELL yes
Huge thanks to @kortizart.bsky.social and everyone who emailed the SDCC to tell them to ban "A.i." from their art show -- they DID!

We CAN keep this scourge out of our spaces, comics friends. Keep it up!
Here's the call to action. Please email if you work in comics, especially if you have a history of attending the SDCC. bsky.app/profile/kort...

Shameful and disgusting. A slap in the face to real artists.
Comic-con deciding to allow GenAi imagery in the art show —giving valuable space to GenAi users to show slop right NEXT to actual artists who worked their asses off to be there— is a disgrace!

A tone deaf decision that rewards and normalizes exploitative GenAi against artists in their own spaces!

If you need a distraction from The Horrors, the new issue of The Unforgiven comes out February 4th—but I’ll totally send it out early if you order one beforehand, and not just because there’s a non-zero chance humanity goes extinct before then

After all our medical horrors of 2025, the one wish @chelsmurphy.bsky.social and I had for 2026 was to reduce our time in hospitals. She spent the first day of the year at the emergency vet with our cat, who stressed herself out so bad her bladder filled up with blood, so, immediate FU to us I guess

Y’all, the new issue of The Unforgiven may just be the best thing I’ve ever produced. Can’t wait for you to see the whole thing. Coming in February!

So can we like, I dunno, finally DO something about it?

The Tostitos “Hint of Lime” chips positively *scream* lime. I’m not complaining. At all. But own what you are. You’re not [Teehee, you might notice a little whisper of lime] chips, you’re “HEY BUCKAROO, HOPE YOU LIKE LIME, BECAUSE BOY DO WE HAVE LIME FOR YOU! HAVE SOME LIME! DID I MENTION THE LIME?”

I’m convinced at this point that if the world were ending tomorrow, and the media had the story, it still wouldn’t be reported on. It would just be a nice little surprise for everyone

Christopher Larkin’s soundtrack to Silksong is perfect, from the huge, booming, frantic boss scores to the somber, reflective numbers. But I think I like the latter best: the moments that capture the sound of dust suspended in a sunbeam, a kingdom past its glory, quiet ruin. Gorgeous.

Nintendo/GF/TPC: Let’s make a bare-bones, paywalled, miserable time of a game, charge $70, and then $30 more for an even worse experience as a DLC.

Team Cherry: Hey, want a huge, gorgeous, $20 game that will easily become your all-time favorite, and a free DLC a few months later?
Team Cherry Holiday Sign-off! Hollow Knight: Silksong - Sea of Sorrow revealed, the original Hollow Knight refreshed, and more!

I’ve been wearing nothing but plain black tees for like six years now, but I would mercilessly, gleefully add this to the rotation.

…Plain black tees with athletic shorts or jeans, tbc—I’m not Winnie the Poohing it like the neighbor I once lived next to
I cannot WAIT to add this tee to my rotation and wear it around so people know what I’m about. Thank you @emmbunn.bsky.social

Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell II is a midlife crisis in eleven tracks, and I don’t know what it says about me that I’ve vibed with it since I was a teenager. Probably the same thing that my childhood love of crossword puzzles and Matlock does.

I once had someone ask, while I was at a table selling the very first issue of the comic series I write and illustrate, if they could put me in touch with their writer boyfriend in case I was “running out of ideas.” Probably that one
What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

If you’re inclined to make purchases on what I’ve come to dub Buy Nothing Day, shop small, indie, local. Like, say, indie comics seen here from local StL shop All-American Collectibles! Give the big box stores and billionaires nothing but a visit from three (or four) ghosts this holiday season.

My new comic series was announced yesterday!
It's called IS TED OK? and it's a six-(oversized)-issue series from @madcavestudios.com

It's about human connection in a world hell-bent on crushing human connection.
