That's amazing. If it's single malt I buy frequently, I can usually get distillery and ballpark the age. And some cask types are easy (rum casks in particular are super obvious). But if it's not one I drink often I'm just making educated guesses; getting them all right is wild. 😁

new take on expert level napping this afternoon

(Because I realize that this just looks like a pile of fuzz, it's a bi-black sheltie falling out of a grey pouf bed head first, while asleep. See annotated version.)

This fluffy Sheltie has dozed off in her bed, but she’s slipped halfway out with her head resting against the floor. It’s a perfectly cozy, slightly silly nap pose that shows she’s completely at ease.

You also give them the name of a judge local to you who has agreed to swear you in, and the WA State Supreme Court issues a special order to that judge to allow them to give you the oath. Kind of neat. 🤓

One of my law school classmates was clerking for Judge Fiore, who graciously offered to do my swearing in. Basically, you tell your new bar that you can't make the standard swearing in for Reasons.

9 years ago today, I got sworn into the WA State bar in a courtroom in Arlington, Virginia because my husband was in DC on active duty orders. That remains the one and only time so far I've appeared in a courtroom as an attorney. 😂
