Same experience for me. Gall bladder removed on Monday, back home yesterday. The staff who cared for me were amazing.

When I arrived here in an ambulance, sirens and blue lights going, Saturday night, I was terrified, I was genuinely scared, I thought I was going to die.
But people from all nations and walks of life fixed me and cared for me, and all for free.
Thank fuck for the NHS.
