I know everyone is high the hopium from last night, so sorry to be a downer, but all it tells me is that the admin will need shorten their timeline. I thought we might have until 2028 to see the inevitable place the fascism takes us, now I think we have until maybe next November.

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.
We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

The thing to understand about fascism is that most people you know will be bought off. Bought with promises of peace and stability, bought with business opportunities or paid with actual cash. Most people aren't going to resist. Get used to it and get used to operating in that environment.

So, putting it nicely, 1/3 of the recruits were in too bad of shape, and the 1/2 of those left were illiterate. Doesn’t seem like they’re getting the best and the brightest.

I assume the state will appeal to the SC and it will be lumped in with the Illinois one on the shadow docket? But I’d love someone with more knowledge than I have to confirm or deny.
