There’s a number going around of TN-07 voters who’ve committed to a certain candidate but have not yet voted. It’s a BIG NUMBER and will also make it a HELLISH day at the polls next Tuesday if all those people try to vote at once. I am BEGGING YOU to get people to go early vote TODAY.

People need food. Market won’t provide it. Government should. It’s literally the whole point.
Turns out Mamdani's controversial proposal for government-run supermarkets isn't so novel. Other cities also are toying with the idea to bring fresh, affordable food to communities that do not have easy access to it. Good WSJ read (gift link)

The goal is for the store to become profitable without any government subsidy within three years.

On Thanksgiving Day join Mark and Kevin from the Donelson Cafe as they host their 9th annual "Truly Thankful Thanksgiving" from 11-2.

It's 100% free to anyone who shows up - you can eat there or take it to go. I will be there volunteering at 11.

Share with anyone who might have an interest! 🦞

My family’s tradition of Christmas Pizza started Because The Power Went Out
We rented a big house in Palm Springs for the whole family to get together from all over and we just got here and we're starting a new Thanksgiving tradition of Ordering Chinese Food Because The Oven Is Broken

Actually incredible resource here. One click to copy all Metro Council emails? Brilliant. (They don’t check the general inbox, don’t tell anybody.)

If you don’t want to be surveilled when you go to the Ryman or Robert’s, take a sec and write them a nice email about it. 🦞
I just emailed all of our CMs and would strongly encourage you to do the same. Learn more, find your CM, and get help with an email here:

Why do they always try to do the stuff around the holidays?

To the #MetroCouncilNash: our concerns about oversight of surveillance programs actually are not allayed by putting it into the hands of a third party. Please do not let this happen.

🤷🏼‍♀️Tried to watch the recording of today’s marketing pitch, but it’s unavailable.

1) Elon is a narcissistic con man, thus public trust is low & elected officials’ skepticism is high.

2) #TeslaTunnel = inefficient, touristic novelty that creates numerous problems and solves 👏absolutely👏nothing👏.

WeGo, you in danger, girl
I just had a chance to watch this portion of the meeting and if WeGo thinks this is the last conversation on this topic it won't be.
At yesterday’s WeGo Board meeting, Chair Gail Carr-Williams said WeGo responded “instantly, and in an outstanding fashion” to the federal shutdown.

This was right after @quinevanssegall.bsky.social asked the board to partner with council on a plan for emergency fare suspension in the future.

Whatever you do, TN-07 voters, don’t pick the lady who wasted the time of the masked, extrajudicial armed stormtroopers in riot gear sent to detain and disappear our neighbors in the middle of the night - she’s too “scary” 🤣

I didn’t like the Beatles for a long time but that’s because I had symphony musicians for parents and we never listened to pop music. I wasn’t taught any reverence for the stuff. Same with the Rolling Stones. I understand/appreciate it all now culturally but I can’t say I care all that much
As someone who is this guy's age I can tell you 100% that if you were into Pixies, Nirvana, 120 Minutes stuff, etc. but didn't like the Beatles you had to have worked hard to contort yourself into that special little box. Your enemy, if you absolutely needed one, was hair metal. GTFO here with this.

Have spent entire weekend moving my dog away from the small children who appear in every corner of life nowadays, including the dog park, where - sing it if you know it! - they are explicitly not allowed. Parents, I’m begging you, teach your kids to stay away from dogs they don’t know.
