1. it's OK to consider kirby puckett's career ended early without creating a sliding standard, context exists.

the thing about the pirates' offseason plans is that there's a pretty good baseball case for trading keller, in the composition of the organization, what keller's value might be to a contender, and the fact that the team has so many needs that they actually can't fill all of them via free agency
