i would have been classed as a “gender questioning” back then, i knew i wasn’t a boy before i finished primary school. but also i didn’t know anything about being trans until i was a teen - because of Section 28. it took me ~30 years to come out.

So, it looks like the new DfE guidance on trans students in schools incorporates recommendations from the Cass report. Suffice to say that is an *incredibly awful* decision.
