I’m an avid gamer (mostly Nintendo, a big Zelda and LOTR fan, and a wannabe writer/filmaker.

In one of the prototype versions of Yoshi's Island, the Baby Mario handover process is unfinished and does not always work. The Yoshi that should be waiting at the end is missing, and the playable Yoshi simply throws Baby Mario onto the ground, making him crawl off by himself.

After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!

Reminder that genAI is fascist tech that really only seems capable of upholding western beauty standards through a skewed heteronormative lens. The slop machine will always spit out the same lady and she’s always white and looks a little too young in the face, it’s real creepy shit
I see the exact same lines, the same curves, same lighting, hair falling in the same manner everywhere- the biggest giveaway is honestly just seeing the same endlessly regurgitated facial structure repeatedly. I see AI in the eyes, nose, and mouth of a character first before anything else.
