It’s gotten worse all over this year, plus I had to switch to using the Walmart pharmacy (which is actually excellent?!?) and hooooboy is it an experience going in there in an N95. People rarely have the nerve to say anything to my face, at least - I’m pretty sure my RBF is visible despite the mask.

The part of me that wanted to go into psychology (before realizing that I would be a terrible therapist because I absolutely WOULD break out the spray bottle 😂) really wants to see research into this sort of behavior. The way some people react to me minding my own business in a mask is boggling.

Oh yeah, we have steam radiators so we get aaaaaaall the clanging and banging and thumping from those pipes on cold mornings. This was like someone was grabbing the cold water pipe that runs across the entire basement and violently shaking it against the joists for about 30 seconds. 😬

I’m wondering, although there’s no correlation to the boiler firing and I heard it once or twice before I turned the heat on last week.

I did discover that we have a leaky toilet, and apparently that can cause this sort of thing? I’m going to fix it tomorrow and see if that vanquishes the gremlins.

I don’t get it either. It’s such a small thing to do, and it’s not like we’re still doing the horribly deep swabs like in the beginning, which WERE extremely unpleasant.

If my kid with major sensory issues can get through it with nothing more than a wince, a grown-ass adult definitely can too.

I’m playing a fun game called “why are there gremlins in my cold water supply line and why were they shaking the pipes violently every 10-15 minutes last night and why aren’t they doing it today”

it is just a super great way to spend many hours getting covered in grime

I managed to laminate a dog hair into one of my signs and honestly that’s very on brand for me so I’m not going to redo it.

Stress baking part one: cinnamon rolls.

Zoe is fine, she didn’t have any further seizures last night and is back to her normal bouncy self today. I, however l, am wiped out and have an eye twitch that won’t stop. So. Baking.
