As I get closer to my goal, I keep thinking more and more about my top surgery and I'm most nervous wondering who is going to look after my pets for almost 2 weeks 😖
I've never been away from them 🥺

Has anyone ever left their pets for a while, were they okay? do they get upset at you? I'm anxious

I was sooo tired after yesterdays stream that I instantly went to bed after eating, I'll take pictures of windchime hornet and post them today!

She is cutely sitting on my desk right now so she's multi-functional as a (not very good sounding) windchime and desk figure.

I watched Alien: Earth and that show really could have gotten away with 0 flashing lights in it, they're never needed but they were REALLY not needed here. They shoved them all in the last episode like "oops forgot this"

Same for Alien: Romulus, they just did it so you couldn't see the xenomorphs 😩

It's hard to speak on lesbian issues as a lesbian because we're so often silenced and objectified.

But I've noticed a trend, and I can't remain quiet about it anymore. I don't expect to achieve much with this, but I need to get it off my chest.

I can't remain silent on people taking the lesbian label when it's not theirs. It's upsetting to me. I've been told that I can't be lesbian because I’m non-binary. But I constantly see bi or pan folks call themselves lesbian, claim our culture while I'm shut out. It hurts. So I want to say, If you're bi or pan, you're not a lesbian. and that's ok. It's hard to speak on gatekeeping lesbianism -it sounds harsh and often done by terfs, which I’m not. To me, a non-binary masc lesbian, being a lesbian means “no attraction to men”; I believe there's room and love for trans people in this space. That’s not to say that bi and pan people cannot have a preference for women over men, simply that to have attraction towards men means the lesbian label doesn't apply. There’s nuance to this, but it's keeping it as simple as I can. Our community, love, pain -it's not a quirky label. But often that’s how I see it used. We are constantly silenced and fetishized by people who claim our space and labels, reclaim our slurs. And for what? I’m tired. This is a plea to let our space be ours. There's discourse on pros and cons of labels. But the community and solidarity around it is so important. Lesbians have a unique history, culture, and dynamic, like any other queer group. There’s a lot of pain and understanding that comes with that, which people outside of that will not fully understand or appreciate. Often, someone says they want my and Jackie's relationship. To which, we always say, "You can't if you're not a lesbian, and that's ok." You should strive to find your own happiness and community rather than copying someone else’s. Admittedly, I'm always terrified of speaking out on this. Lesbians are so often silenced in conversations about ourselves. People want to use our labels but not see us. Either we're a commodity or excluded, often both, in and out of queer spaces. So please understand... If you're attracted to men, there are spaces for you, just not this one, and that’s ok.
