There’s about 450-500 cars in this photo

Two Type 6 MAX trans hold about 336 people
Look at the central city riverfront of Portland. It's just so shocking and embarrassing that we tolerate this.

how a se 82nd ave business owner looks at you when you tell them a bus is really just a big car that holds a lot of people as opposed to a small car that holds - usually - one person

I know a bird in the bush is worth two in the hand, but does anyone know how much one on your main power lines are worth?

Every time I’m forced to drive south on I-5 through the Rose Quarter, I stay in my lane, drive slowly, give ample space, and zipper merge at exit 302A like god intended

And then I get home and write Santa another strongly worded letter asking for more funding for public transit

Perfect example of why I avoid biking on SE 7th whenever possible. Paint isn't infrastructure

Also flying through Division and SE 12th at 60MPH

This isn't even a hypothetical, I was biking home from PIR and had these cops fly around me on SE 9th to get on Powell to try and catch him

Certified Portland moment™️
In our screwed up country all you have to do is say "oops I'm sorry" after running a red light and hitting a bike rider with your car (and sending them to hospital w a broken ankle) and the police won't even give you a ticket. I'm fuming!!

This is how pro-driver bias influences PPB.

Always a fun time poking around new (to me) ODOT data online with regards to how isolated the Brooklyn neighborhood is, being surrounded on 3* sides by ODOT highways

Here's some highlights, a 🧵

Telling the front desk worker at the courthouse I’m there to “pay off the judge”, before dejectedly explaining I just have some paperwork to drop off when they don’t laugh at my joke

I can see why you’d think sidewalks would be for pedestrians to walk around on, but it’s actually just more car storage. Common misconception

Shout out to BP who blew up a part of the chemical refineries in my hometown when I was growing up

Maybe next year they’ll finally turn things around?

ODOT sending out mailers about their ADA curb ramp work in the n'hood. As far as I can tell, this only pertains to *closing* crosswalks around me - no rebuilding

Funnily enough, their justification for closing these crosswalks relies on redirecting to the SE 9th overpass which is NOT ADA compliant.

I bet if SE 12th between the rail line and Division was completely pedestrianized the old Virtuous Pie location wouldn’t be sitting empty for, what is now, 7 months
