Have had this thought and tbh I also don’t like it, am I being awkward there? It’s a kinda student politics posey vibe and these are not those times. I’m much happier to be anti-fascist.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

I've already had to point out once today that consensual cannibalism is widely agreed to be vegan and therefore

As far as I can see it was weight that tipped early development in favour of petrol. Electric vehicles were ideal for local haulage (and electric milk floats lasted nearly as long as milkmen) but if you wanted a sporty little thing to run around the countryside batteries were not it.

The same thought experiment applies to gas distribution - when there's not enough volume to keep the pipes paid for, what happens?

What I think people are underpricing is a crash. For example, petrol stations have to sell enough petrol to cover their fixed costs. As demand declines, petrol stations blink out - and everyone local suddenly has an incentive to switch. You could see petrol cars die very suddenly.

(a) great minds (b) I am reliably informed that if it's consensual on the part of the donor it's still vegan

I mean, this is really desperate shit, isn’t it? I am a great deal more woke-sceptic than pretty much all of Bluesky but I honestly can’t be bothered to care about the National Trust putting vegan tampons in the men’s toilets and neither should you

I was tangentially involved with this chap's operation some years ago and boy, the aptness of this caption

I seem to recall he was first elected as a National Liberal, one of the last of that ilk.

My favourite example of that is an Inverness postie some years ago correctly delivering mail to this address:
The music for the bagpipe embellishment known as a 'crunluath'.

Yes, it will get turned off for workspace accounts because inevitably you'll have a naming scheme like j.smith@ and then hire someone called Arthur C. Counts or something equally daft.

Christians interested in the concept of faith could learn from that woman's faith in a computer's ability to find her inbox.

I had a boss, we'll call her Karol Bells, at a company we'll call Stockbridge Cheese. I would sit watching her give her email on the phone daily, as [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], once as [email protected] ("yes, yes, that's right!")

I've always been fond of the Gaelic's duck-noise - mhag, pronounced 'vak'

My poor mother's carer was smoking,
So as the old lady was croaking,
I wasn't upset,
Though I came to regret,
That the carer my chicken was choking.

I'm not sure I could resist the urge to push that over
