People Say COVID Infections Are Worse This Year.

"Razor sore throat, fevers, chills. Some social media users are claiming that their current COVID-19 infections are more severe than previous COVID infections; some even claim it’s the worst they’ve ever felt."

We definitely will need protection from AI. I'm already sick of hearing about it.

Fun fact, you can answer all of these questions by talking about how much you want the government to protect you *FROM* "AI" rather than how much you want them to fund it. Give it a try!

Canadians: The federal government is seeking public input on how AI should be developed and used in business, research, and the military.

If this scares the shit out of you, please let them know:

I feel like this is also true for CBC.

Gary Lineker: "This is the mistake the BBC makes. The BBC tries to appease the people that hate the BBC, rather than worrying about the people that love the BBC."

Dale,

The Liberals are playing a DANGEROUS game with our country! They’re pushing the Supreme Court to SLASH the Notwithstanding Clause.

THIS IS THE GLUE THAT HOLDS OUR CONSTITUTION TOGETHER.

We’re really worried, Dale. This could spark a crisis and tear our nation apart!

Even the experts are warning this is a “SHOCKING” move that could lead to a full-blown CONSTITUTIONAL MELTDOWN!

Tell Us Where You Stand!
Should the Radicals mess with our Constitution?
No way! Protect Provincial Rights!

It will be a pipeline to nowhere. By the time it will be built, if ever, Asia will have long moved on from using oil. I am sure Dani knows this so the pipeline rhetoric is all a distraction from her dismal ability to govern.

Hopefully, the bubble will burst before much damage is done and it will take Evan Solomon along with it.

Anyone who's confident that mainstream medicine is too smart to buy into anti-vax pseudoscience needs to realize that a lot of mainstream medicine already bought into anti-respirator pseudoscience, and 👉that is absolutely no different👈.

Medical guidance is about authority. That's it.

The error examined in this thread is laughably simple: forcing subjects to breathe through a small hole covered in N95 material does NOT mimic wearing an N95.

That's beyond wrong - it's *silly*.

It's also the source of mainstream medical claims that N95s interfere with breathing during pregnancy.

Another example of the junk clinical studies celebrated in Evidence Based Medicine because of methodology alone. Beloved "gold standard" of opinion launderers and cherry pickers, often designed with little or no mechanistic understanding or subject-matter expertise.

I agree and it is partially because, with only a purely public system, it is designed to operate at nearly 100% capacity. No slack has ever been incorporated into it and I don't see that ever changing.

I had hoped more Canadians were smarter than this 👇 and not fall for the headlines. How depressing.

Maybe a pollster should ask if Canadians would be in favour if we each had to pay $2000 for it. Clearly, a majority polled have no real idea how ridiculous it would be to invest in fossil fuels now.
Majority of Canadians — including B.C. residents — support Alberta’s pipeline push, poll finds | CBC News
A new poll from the Angus Reid Institute suggests a majority of Canadians — including British Columbians — support the idea of a northern Alberta-B.C. pipeline, but fewer agree the project should be f...

We’re no better in Canada. Post-secondary institutions have been defunded so much that in the last 10 months, 12,000 permanent faculty members have lost their jobs, plus countless, unreported adjunct and non-permanent faculty members.

The political right has chosen blatant lying as a political strategy.
"..constant lying is not aimed at making the people believe a lie, but at ensuring that no one believes anything anymore.

longer distinguish between truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong...With such a people, you can do whatever you want."

I did this, took like 30 min.
Points I kept hammering: domestic cloud, regulations around copyright and likeness rights, focusing on machine learning with concrete, real world uses (creating new drugs, etc), the damage done by slop, the need to listen to AI experts who are realists, not boosters.

For quite awhile now, whenever I meet someone new, eg. new neighbour, new acquaintance, etc. I always ask myself if they would be willing to hide me. At my time of life, what the French like to call le troisième âge, I decided that I don't have time for them if the answer is "no".

NYT piece calls these MAGA types "provocateurs." It describes "dueling versions of reality." Both are common MSM tropes.

But these are not provocateurs. They're propagandists. Only one side is employing deliberate deceptions on a vast scale for instrumental ends. 3/

If a woman is flashing this hand signal, she needs help escaping from a domestic violence situation.

Note identifying information about the man and call 911 immediately. Acknowledge her plight verbally or non-verbally if it can be done safely, so she knows help is on the way.

I am all for this. Let's see how well the Chinese EV cars do here. I know the NA car manufacturers will moan their heads off but they are all going to head south soon anyway once the free trade deal is blown up by you know who.
