Dad. Georgia grad. Sojourner.
My five year old son, recently, in the kitchen: “Dad, are we real?”

Gay would have been so much easier.
always so funny to me when people are like “how am I supposed to explain Gay to my kids?” my kid asks me way harder shit all the time. “why did they build the road this way? why are some people bad?” I don’t know. please ask me about Gay

The fruits of neoliberalism, everyone. We did it. We trickled... up.

The automated response on the Fulton County juror selection line is so long and the person recording it so exasperated by the end that I honestly thought it was a live call.

Maria Taylor and Mike Macdonald lived in the same neighborhood (for a time), went to the same HS, went to the same college and were on stage together for the Super Bowl postgame. An unbelievable journey for them both.

Listen, if Bad Bunny did in fact give his Grammy to Liam, then it is easily the best thing I’ve ever seen on television.

The way the coalitions have split, basically everyone who displays a belief system that values something beyond raw hierarchy or narcissism, or who is a personally conscientious individual, is being polarized leftward. It's really weird and unsettling.

This is also true of his “softening” on immigration. Kill a few people, besiege a whole city, but all is good because you sent a few hundred brown shirts home.

I have never seen another human being covered by the media like this in my entire life. It actually makes me feel like I’m going crazy.
Now that Trump has deleted the post, the defenses will shift from "stop the fake outrage" to "see he deleted it, not a big deal"

I’ve been laughing about UGA finally catching onto the fact that they have a NFL HC as an alum. It took until this past year for Mike Macdonald to be inducted in the “40 under 40” and get meaningful coverage in UGA media.

Being a DC with the Ravens and at Michigan I guess just didn’t cut it.

A great track to a great video to celebrate a great month.
As Black History Month begins, we honor the generations of Black New Yorkers who built this city into the “gorgeous mosaic” we call home.

Today, we reflect on the words of Mayor David Dinkins: our city’s first Black mayor (and a democratic socialist!).

Sharing a friend’s photos from Minneapolis. They’re a balm. Solidarity is the antidote to so much. May the people’s courage, joy, and defiance kindle the same in us.

Spent the day in Clarkston, GA. A good reminder that in the midst of so much terror, there are people of courage extending welcome, standing in solidarity with the most marginalized among us, fighting back against the chaos.
