A quick 25% savings on Vec3 with full hundredths place accuracy is not bad

And if you can do your rotations as just 0 to 359.00, you can get 50% savings on your Quaternions with this method.

Use Half precison if you can (you probably can’t).

Otherwise, if you know how many decimal places you need, and what your world max valid positions are, then pack XYZ separately as ints.

write((int) (v.x * 100f))

v.x = read() / 100f

Easy way to use 24 bits or less instead of 32.

Unity Netcode has a BytePacker but it packs the Vec3 as its binary float encoding, meaning small numbers like 1.23 could have a huge number of significant digits and their packed size could be (usually is) worse than unpacked. You never want to use this. They probably shouldn’t have included it.
