It’s his favorite way to get around, and he’s capable of doing it much younger than I thought either kid would be.

Maddie (his mom) and I are very seasoned as pedestrians and cyclists in a city known for its aggressive drivers. But it shouldn’t have to take that.

Happy World Car Free Day! My six-year-old clocked many miles on his own bike this week!

Everyone deserves to have the freedom of movement.

It’s one of the reasons why Dot and I started @ridecargob.bsky.social , but there are so many ways to make a difference!

But other parts of the city might prove to be better on the council front.

Unfortunately the early results, at least from the precincts @dotnews.bsky.social has put out, seem to show some neighborhoods voting both overwhelmingly for Wu but still backing conservative at-large candidates (like Frank Baker, who is also just obnoxious politics aside).

Your words not mine! 😜

Let’s keep the pressure on our local governments to build safer infrastructure so more kids like ours can bike or walk to school!

UPDATE: Per OCPF, Josh Kraft has received $879,193 in contributions.

3 months in, and only 45 Boston residents have contributed $100 or less. A total of $2,670 out of $879,193 (<1%).

The story tells itself. But instead, let's hear Kraft's continued complaints about an unfinished park. 😡

Picked up a bonus passenger on the way to school in Roxbury today! Rode by a friend walking and asked if she wanted to hop in. Her dad got an earlier less rushed commute to work; we beat the gridlock traffic and had time to hit the playground before school doors opened.
