#MerchantOfMytos may be getting an overhaul. As much as still love the idea of making a terminal based version, #twine, which I considered using before but took a second look at recently, has swept me off my feet.

So it's turning into a browser based interactive fiction story! Oops

Not to be whiny in my own corner of the internet or anything. I'm just feeling very anxious these days. And there's a lot about hating Ai on here but not a lot about when your livelihood starts to depend on it. And with personal health concerns going on, it is NOT time to be jobless.

Hi, how are you? I'm great. It's just, my current job is steadily being eaten whole by AI and I'm questioning if I have to tie my skill set to it to survive (while hating it more each day), or do I abandon ship, or do I try to be an agent of change and hope it works.

I finished a 25 page report on the religions of Indonesia through the night before it was due. I finished it at 7AM and walked right into class. I then apologized to the teacher if I passed out due to not having slept yet.

I got full marks on an essay about Jane Eyre without finishing the book because I ran out of time. I didn't know how it ended and for some unknown reason in a last min haze I just made it up and hoped I was right. I could've googled a summary but no. AI could never match whatever energy teen me had

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

Exactly. If it can analyze images and make conclusions about it, I could see that being useful for, say, nailing down the mood of a piece or working on dynamic poses if it could understand that. It'd need to be more accurate than it is though, before I'd take it's advice

My best idea is repurposing the tool to analyze art and music and critique from the most objective points like anatomy or structure. But even that's a very doubtful thought because there's so much variance and so much subjectivity I doubt it'd be very good at it.

It's mostly not useful. Any example I can come up with is easily (and usually more competently) replaced by non-AI sources. The closest I got is: maybe if you wanna nail down a certain mood, it can give you generic examples of "eerie" or "inviting", but watching other artists is better for this.
