Last night we started watching American Psycho.
About 30 seconds into it, I got up, paused it, and went, "nope. Tonight we watch The Machinist (2004 Christian Bale)"

They've never seen it before and they were mesmerized by it

Solid 4/5 psychological thriller movie. Would recommend for a wild ride!

Watched Weapons last night. What a darkly, delightfully, deliciously disturbing movie. It starts as a dark mystery, and by the third act, it sets the fight-or-flight response tingling. Every second, tension and desperation ratchets tighter.
⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5
Any horror fans seen it? What are your thoughts?

We took a lil day trip up north a couple of weeks ago, to do some hiking. Along one of the trails, we found a small lake with 3 rocks about 20ft apart from each other. At juuuust the riiight angle, and with the water still enough, they form this beautiful structure.

Sipping coffee from one of my favourite mugs on a rainy Sunday morning, in the autumn. Such a fleeting moment compiled of various factors; but so much joy!

Finally watched Hardcore Henry. The plot is thin, predictable, and contains a "really?!" twist about 3/4 through. The characters are weirdly likeable, the gore is copious, and they nailed the "AAA" FP action game vibe. Overall a fun movie that should come with a motion sickness warning.
Solid 6.5/10

I have had it.
I am done!
No longer trust recipe "cook time".
45 mins, my ass.

(For the record, it still looks great, tastes amazing, but is absolutely half an hour later than anticipated. Never trust a recipe cook time unless it comes from Nana's community recipe book)

The atoms within you once burned in the heart of stars, chaotic and lifeless, and yet here you are, after half a dozen or so billion years, arranging them into love, questions, and hope. You are a miracle, a thermodynamic miracle.

In hindsight, I should have known our modern society was teetering over the edge, when walking down the cookie aisle, "cookies and cream flavored" was emblazoned across a pack of oreos.

'Why do you do that to yourself?' A family member asks.
'You're going to drive yourself crazy.' Says my father.
'We have to protect our peace,' repeats a friend, over and over.
'I don't know,' and 'I know,' and 'I know' are my replies.

And then the kicker, again from my dad: 'What can you do?'1/

In between all the madness of life, just want all of my fellow #gamers to know that Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon has *absolutely* stolen me away from the Oblivion remaster.

It's like Gothic and Oblivion had a baby, but has actually really good writers and world artists who know how to tell a story

"The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot."
