One of my favorite parts of being a librarian is that you never know what new skill you're going to need to learn. Today I learned how to operate a movie theater style popcorn popper for an event. You can bet that's going on my LinkedIn!

Hours after federal agents killed Alex Pretti, Bondi sent Walz a letter: turn over voter rolls, Medicaid data, and SNAP records or ICE stays. Senator Murphy: "They're openly using state violence as a bargaining chip to seize election infrastructure." This is extortion.

Pam Bondi sent Minnesota officials a letter today saying ICE would leave the state if Minnesota turns over its voter files to the Trump Administration.

Some of us have been sounding the alarm for ages, but it’s becoming more and more blatant:

Trump is trying to become a dictator.

Every detail, every fact about what's happening in Minneapolis and elsewhere is sickening and unconscionable.

Write your letters, make your calls, attend your protests. We're all in different situations, but as we're each able we need to stand up against what's wrong and stand up for each other.

New— An American citizen boarding flight from Boston to Lisbon just now told me after showing boarding pass, every passenger stopped on jetway by two ICE agents demanding to take their photo. When passenger asked why, ICE threatened to detain them. If they said no photo, couldn't board/TBD detained.

Today we honor Dr. King by remembering that his legacy wasn’t comfort or quiet it was courage, sacrifice, and resistance in the face of injustice. He knew progress is never handed down; it’s pushed forward by ordinary people who refuse to accept inequality as normal.

The DOJ saying it's not subject to courts is the type of issue where the absurdity can insulate from the danger. It's completely ridiculous, but don't forget how frightening of an attack that is on the rule of law & U.S. government as we've known it.

Pritzker: The Insurrection Act is designed for circumstances where your rights can’t be protected by local authorities

This is exactly the opposite.

Your civil rights are being infringed upon by CBP and ICE, and then they want to call in troops claiming that they’re protecting CBP and ICE.
