I've been reading Code The Classics
magpi.raspberrypi.com/books/code-t...

Volume 2 is now also available.

I've started work on a new version of my favourite Atari 2600 game. Combat.

Maybe I'll be done in time for the 50th Anniversay in 2027

I'm just gonna say it: you wouldn't need to ban the kids if you just made the platforms responsible for moderation in the first fucking place.

Good luck papering over that chasm and calling it protection. ✌🏻

Sadly the current right-wing coalition government in Finland has cut the funding for the nation’s “Housing First” success story, & homelessness is now on the rise again. That just reinforces the fact that such programs work, if political ideology doesn’t stand in the way.

Oh fuck off you stupid cunts.

You haven’t had an income tax increase for 50 years.

Your country is broke and your economy is broken.

You’ve tried austerity, self imposed sanctions, a lifetime of “low” tax.

Pay your tax. Start fixing your public services and infrastructure.

Grow the fuck up.

Not only that. If you give them little badges that say “Kicked Out Of Britain”

They’ll be super popular too.

When it opens with "I am Irish-American and planning to move to Ireland" you brace yourself for A Comment And A Half.

Then you add "the Quora factor" - you are not expecting sensible chat here.

... and somehow, he still manages to shock us.

Imagine fucking up your whole country.

For a Lie.

The electricity market in Ireland is designed in such a way that you HAVE TO change provider every year for the best price.

Which means you HAVE TO set up online accounts and install apps every year.

Which means your data is scattered across numerous providers with no continuity.

I need Youtube to add a new button.

[He Played Riyadh Comedy Festival. No need to keep showing me clips. I'm not interested any more.]

I need to make the caption a bit more pithy, but I need that button.

Watching the movie Drop. And it was going so well. Really smart.

And then there's the horrible CGI scene that take you completely out of the movie.

Had occasion to visit Barretstown yesterday. Will be back today. The kids are playing music there today.

It’s the kind of place you know about but you are very lucky if the universe doesn’t make you need it.

It’s an amazing place but government funding covers less than 4% of its costs.

Religious folk never can tolerate a level playing field can they?
E-action on religious observance in schools in Scotland - humanist.eaction.org.uk/religious-ob...

The new bill allows children to opt-in to religious observance if removed by their parents but not to opt out, giving one right to religious children and denying that same right to those without faith
Tell your MSP why school pupils deserve the right to opt out of religious worship

I keep telling my kids. If you turn off the XBox and put a bit of work in, you can get 500 points in your leaving cert, a first class honours degree.

And a career standing outside schools harassing kids and playing the victim.

I see Trump is still attracted to people 40-50 years younger than him.

Just like he was in his 50’s
Trump is jealous of Zohran Mamdani because he knows how popular Zohran is.

Trump is hoping some of that popularity will rub off on him if he poses with Zohran.

10 years since Brexit next Summer.

When it happened I remember thinking best case scenario for rejoin it’ll take decades.

The first of those decades went a lot quicker than I thought.

Maybe 50!years of ever increasing misery won’t be so bad for them.

This is nice and all but people can choose not to go to an event. And the people Labour should be helping aren’t going to these events.

They’re going to food banks.
And they’re soon going to be living under a Reform government because Labour are so bad at politics.
I am delighted to see that after 15 years of campaigning for this and 14 years since former MPs Philip Davies and Sajid Javid talked out my Private Members Bill in 2011 that would have capped resale, that it is this Labour Government that is going to fix this broken resale market. 🎟️🌹
Government bans ticket touting to protect fans from rip-off prices
Music and sport fans will no longer be ripped off on the ticket resale market thanks to new measures making it illegal to resell tickets for live events above original cost

Please tell me all you customers of Starbucks everywhere are also out on strike by not buying from them.

It’s a lot easier to boycott as a consumer than strike as an employee.
Starbucks @sbworkersunited.org baristas are standing up to corporate greed and Starbucks’ unfair labor practices and demanding the fair contract they deserve.

It's consistently remarkable to me that Ireland - surely just as strategically and economically fucked as Iceland if the gulf stream collapses - has a government that barely even things about this, let alone mention it, God forbid do anything.

Starmer: OK Listen. I've an idea.

Lammy: This'll be good.

Starmer: Refugees right? While waiting for leave to remain. Are only allowed to vote for Reform.

Mahmood: That'll be 20 years? Won't that be good for Reform and bad for Labour?

Starmer: Will it?

Mahmood: Oh 4d Chess. Nice one Gaffer.

I think we can all agree that pouring soup on a painting behind some protective glass is exactly equivalent to pouring hundreds of millions of gallons of oil into the see, killing wildlife and destroying livelihoods.

So the just stop oil criminals should be punished like oil CEOs
