Stubborn, opinionated and sometimes far more full of myself than anyone rightfully should be but in the quiet moments I do reflect on things that have been said, I doubt myself a lot and prone to self hate for my deficiencies while trying to grow.

When folks gripe about DEI, remind them who benefited from shutting out dancers like Copeland. That pattern runs through our whole history.

Maybe instead of committing atrocities, we could just make the rich pay their fair share and have universal healthcare and affordable housing instead.

Idk, just spitballing here.

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

I’ve been working against school vouchers for a decade. I’ve also been watching what has happened in other states.

Missouri is following the Arizona voucher plan.

Arizona blew a $1 billion hole in their state budget last year because tax money was diverted to private religious schools.

The alleged shooting by an Afghan ‘partner’ shouldn’t condemn all who assisted the U.S. and now live here.

Reporters who fact-check Trump to his face are not “stupid”, they are not “piggies”, and they are not “ugly”. They are doing their jobs, and doing it under pressure most of us will never experience.

We should be grateful for their service. I appreciate their courage now more than ever.

After basically a decade of extreme divisive politics, hateful rhetoric and partisan fear mongering it IS disturbing to see moments of actual civility. I think the first shocker was Trump’s demure with Obama in the White House post election 2016. But that’s the messed up thing about both narcissists

It is beyond abhorrent that she and others never saw justice for the convenience of white feelings and the continued excuses to escape accountability.😢😔
As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.
