One of my favourite things about Finnish language is that there is only one gender pronoun: "hän/hänen" and it's a formality only used to & by people that are "better" than you like officials. In a regular conversation it sounds subtly off and even slightly insulting depending on the tone.

Dax Grattler skin concept for the Old Peace. When I was asked to design a gatling/minigun skin for the Dax, the Grattler rig/animations/sounds felt like a perfect fit. Since the Grattler barrels only go forward and back, I was able to test out this weird idea with floating rings, and it worked!!

I've made it a personal goal to stop using the term "content" when referring to media made by artists. The word implies mass-produced filler and calling someone's hard work their "content" has started to feel kinda like an insult. Like human art made strictly for quick consumption
the enthusiasm for generative AI would not have been possible without prior decades of capitalist conditioning to view works of art as products, rather than acts of culture and shared human life
I think the fundamental gap here is that non-creative people think that creative people make things for the end product, when in fact it’s the act of creation and not the end point that makes it worthwhile.
