This nasty ass goat has started chewing on my toes but I'm pretty sure I can get rid of him in about three years or so. And well, I'll probably lose the leg. Unless he declares himself King Nasty Ass Goat for life.

"One Word Describes Trump" www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

I missed this on its first trip around, then saw it on the "most popular with readers" list for 2025. Recommended, despite the cheesy headline.

Especially valuable if you have ever compared him to a mob boss.

One Word Describes Trump
A century ago, a German sociologist explained precisely how the president thinks about the world.

Simply incredible. Stephen Miller is so far down the ideological rabbit hole that he doesn't even realize this badly undermines his case against immigrants.

They arent hiding anything, never have. Their insanity is written, discussed and implemented. Its the WE that doesn't listen or take their evil seriously. What does it take America? Invade Greenland? Murder people? Cozy up to Russia? Threaten Canada, Columbia or Europe? Rename our institutions?

A fantastic NYT report: Donors to Trump get pardons, jobs, & access - and benefited from regulatory decisions the Trump admin has made.

SUPER timely as SCOTUS is about to kill agency independence & give POTUS more control over agencies (likely to donors' benefit)

Hundreds of Big Post-Election Donors Have Benefited From Trump’s Return to Office
Well into his second term, the president and his allies have continued aggressively raising money. Many donors have interests before his administration, The Times found.

The story is insane. The acting head of cyber security, a Noem crony, repeatedly demanded to see highly classified information he didn’t need access to, and when staff set up a lie detector test as a condition to grant him access, he failed it. So DHS suspended the staffers.

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

Imagine serving as a Marine and then having a distinguished career in the FBI investigating actual terrorist threats and then having to go in front of Congress and say you’re afraid of Antifa. Absolutely humiliating.
GLASHEEN: Antifa is our primary concern right now. That's the most immediate violent threat we're facing

BENNIE THOMPSON: Where is antifa headquartered?

GLASHEEN: ... ... ... we are building out the infrastructure right now

THOMPSON: What does that mean?

“I think” is how a system run by a king or a dictator works. Here, we have a rule of law that says no one, and that includes the government, can murder people on a whim because it “thinks” they’re up to no good.

Oh and I don't suppose the fact that Hernandez employed MS-13 to move drugs, and the fact that Trump dropped charges against MS-13 leaders to send them back to Bukele in El Salvador who had secretly worked with them is also a total coincidence. I'm sure it's nothing.
