I'm old enough to remember Oregon 59, Florida State 20; Alabama 38, Michigan State 0; Clemson 31, Ohio State 0; Clemson 30, Notre Dame 3; LSU 63, Oklahoma 28. Those were playoff semis, with brand names getting smoked. Don't act like is the first time we've seen playoff blowouts.

11 or 12 seed seems harsh. I think it feels like when the Hoosiers run into the Tar Heels in the Sweet 16
IU fans will resist the obvious analogy, but it feels akin to a three-loss team getting an 11- or 12-seed and just being obviously outmanned against a high-major with dudes aplenty.

I know better than to hope people won’t clown on them but it was objectively very cool Indiana went 11-1. Maxed out everything they had. Hat tip regardless of how bad this game gets.

Nothing in the MAC gets much attention anymore but Toledo going a noncompetitive 7-5 and capping it with a loss to Akron would be one of the lower-key WOOF seasons for anybody
