It’s crazy that there is light rain and PG&E has an unplanned outage across most of the city and that outages are such a fairly common occurrence here. Not sure if any other major city has worse infrastructure than PG&E here.

Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson is blocking a vote on extending Affordable Care Act subsidies, which means the subsidies will lapse. Millions of Americans will pay much higher fees or will drop their health insurance altogether.

I don’t understand this at all.
Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.
