Fact is management has already made some tough decisions re Monty – giving Jakub Dobes more starts, then sending Montembeault down – and they will continue to do what's best for the team, not what's best for one player's psyche.

Marc-André Perreault on BPM Sports yesterday said they should give Montembeault a two-week window but that's absurd. They can't afford to keep playing him if he plays the way he played before his stint with the Rocket.

A hearty congratulations go out to Donovan Sebrango on getting his first and possibly 2nd NHL goal
Sam Montembeault will get the start tomorrow for the Habs vs the Panthers.

It’ll be his first start since Dec. 2nd

They showed something in that third period.

NOW do you believe Slaf is a real numner 1?

My guess/hope here is Sunday the 4th vs. Dallas because that's basically a lost game anyways so it doesn't matter if he sucks. If not that then the day before vs St. Louis since they might be weak enough to compensate for him not being particularly good. Definitely not vs eastern teams
Martin St. Louis makes it clear the plan is to get Sam Montembeault back into a game soon.

With Phillip Danault in the fold and Michael Hage and Oliver Kapanen playing the way they are playing, I think the urgency to add another C to the organization is way down.

Just be patient.

One team wanted to win it in the alley; the other wanted to win it on the ice. And without a good goalie early, braun may have won it.

Also, what each player, the coach, the GM wants for Christmas as I have a bit of fun in this Call Of The Wilde for Global Montreal.

The Canadiens tried to win this one with talent, while the Bruins tried to win it with brawn. Brian Wilde has more on Tuesday night's Montreal-Boston matchup.

6-2 Canadiens. Slaf one timer off a feed from Hutson.

Somehow, this is a laugher for Montreal. They owe Jacob Fowler big time for giving them a chance to get here.

Love MSL. You all know that. He's one of my favourite coaches ever. Nearly always on his side with his choices.

With that said, really can't understand Demidov not on the first unit.

I don't understand the decision to have less talent on the first unit.

Xhekaj has been playing exactly the kind of game he needs to play every night the past few games, physical but not putting himself out of position or fighting for no reason and keeping the game in front of him. Hopefully he keeps this up
