Look at this gorgeous cover for Keywords/Keyimages in Graphic Medicine!! Thanks to Ian Williams for giving us permission to use his image on the cover, which captures brilliantly the concept & structure of the book. Briana Martino (@briwok.bsky.social) & I are grateful & thrilled!

Book cover for Keywords/Keyimages in Graphic Medicine edited by Lisa Diedrich and Briana Martino. The image on the cover is from Ian Williams, & is a version of an image from his book The Bad Doctor, a graphic narrative based on his own experience with OCD. A boy is in bed with his hands folded in prayer & his thoughts take the form of a sefirot surrounding his head.

I’m happy to have my cartoons reposted, but it’s always nice when credit is given to the artist so people can find me

There’s a lot more where this came from

Hm! I think, in this case, that I am the former. So, I am happy to take a look at the resource you provided. Thank you!

I think I’m going to index my own book. Any advice, scholars? Any warnings or pitfalls?

When you think of stories, poems, plays, illustrations, and songs that address loneliness — and encourage (re)connection and community — what comes to mind?

Just in case you needed to hear it from one more place: Tylenol does not cause autism.

Do I have any friends and colleagues who know much about the financial side of #highered systems? That is, does anyone have experience with policy and numbers dealing with #tuition at one school covering classes at another? #college

Perhaps I am late to this or it’s obvious or it’s leftist, but…
The comics ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM, THE ULTIMATES & the ABSOLUTE DC series are all about rising up against despotic, tyrannical ruling forces. All the major superhero storylines are currently about #resistance #protest & #rebellion. Right?

Don’t you dare call us fascists, they say, as they force people off the airwaves for criticizing them while vowing to crush and criminalize their opposition.

if Jimmy Kimmel's political humor is too hot for you to handle, I'm not sure "snowflake" even cuts it as a term of derision for the level of fragility you've achieved

Every major talent that works for ABC and Disney should refuse to show up for work until Jimmy Kimmel is reinstated.

Marvel movies need to shutdown. Ditto the sitcoms.

Collective boycott.

Corporations love money more than anything,& this will harm them and force them to do the right thing.

First Colbert, then Kimmel.
