Sharing once again - and highly recommending - the postdoc positions with Antoni. One of the projects is a collaboration with us and the postdoc will include a sojourn in our lab.

Second project is an HFSP-funded collaboration with the Suskiewicz group in Orléans, France (including an extended scientific visit to their lab). It tackles the functional importance and prevalence of filamentation among transcription factors to better understand the principles of gene expression.

First project is funded by the Wellcome and investigates how receptor selection may influence the mechanism of viral entry. Understanding this will help us better understand past pandemics and prepare more effectively for those in the future.

Our small research team uses structural methods, biophysics, and cell biology to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying viral evolution and host adaptation. More details of our work can be found here: wrobel-lab.org

Our team investigates molecular mechanisms underlying viral evolution and host changes. Your project will focus on understanding how some viruses can change their receptor specificity from glycan- to protein-binding and how the receptor selection may influence viral entry.

I'm happy (if somewhat uneasy, given the times are uncertain for many) to have been selected for an @hfspo.bsky.social HFSP Research Grant Early Career, with great partners: @mvstaller.bsky.social & @agwrobel.bsky.social . We will study filament formation by transcription factors.

We're on the cover of @science.org this week. Awesome work by @florentwaltz.bsky.social. #CryoET is reaching crazy resolutions inside cells, and this is just the beginning. Fantastic interpretation of the proton motive force by @verenaresch.bsky.social. Always a pleasure making #SciArt with you!🧪🧶🧬🌾

In a new Science study, cryo–electron tomography captures the in-cell architecture of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, illuminating how the coordinated action of molecular machines drives life’s fundamental energy conversion.

Check out the magnificent #baculovirus structure! The unique virion architecture and structural atlas of hallmark proteins place baculo-like viruses into a separate new realm. Many insights into baculo biology and evolution. Collab with the group of Fasséli Coulibaly. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
