Fwiw I think the “apologize for being white” thing is very clearly about making sure white people don’t feel an obligation to alleviate past injustices or make society fairer. Ultimately to do that you have to raise taxes and the billionaires holding Vance’s leash don’t want that.

I'm going to restrict myself to one (two part) comment, which is:

1) the entire range runs from execs making 290x what their workers make to execs making 350x what their workers make, and

2) this should frame everything else such execs encourage you to be mad about
C.E.O. pay increased last year, and the disparity with what employees are paid is the highest since companies began reporting this measure.

This is a real thing being posted and circulated by the Department of Homeland Security, referring to undocumented immigrants as “foreign invaders” and urging good Americans to turn them in.

(I’ll leave it to BlueSky historians to find comparisons to WWII era materials.)

Imo, a reason why most people own little wealth in Nordic countries. Fundamentally, wealth is not needed to lead a good life or give your children a future
This is one reason I am always skeptical of proposals for reducing wealth inequality by broadening asset ownership. From my point of view, a better goal is reducing the scope of life that is organized through wealth. jwmason.org/slackwire/th...

First point to note-- the headline automatically signals that the NYT agrees with Trump's assertion that these White South Africans are facing life-threatening persecution.
