As we’ve reported on sexual misconduct by OB-GYNs, we’ve learned that many women felt they didn’t know what was normal during a visit, or didn’t know what they could do to speak up.

We created this guide to help fill this gap.

There are ways in which white women are socialized that I think make us particularly vulnerable to this trap. This is a useful question for us to ask before we fall into spaces of (false) victimhood and martyrdom where we may feel more comfortable.
Not being able to differentiate between a feeling you have inside and a person DOING something to you is a long-standing, often ignored, addressable problem. How much could change if it wasn’t typical to experience new information as a hostile confrontation when it makes you uncomfortable?

I have seen people sent to Rikers Island for refusing to follow a judge's order.

Courts have plenty of hard power. But they only have practice using it against poor people.

I am tired of people saying and believing this. Our lives are not a game of chess and these leaders aren’t making brilliant political maneuvers. Please stop the delusions. It’s embarrassing.
You realize this is a game of chess right?
