After @startribune.com and ProPublica investigated child sexual abuse within a Minnesota church, a lawmaker is pushing to change the state’s mandatory reporting rules: “These victim survivors coming forward ... it would just be wrong to not respond.”

We're gonna be playing Pathfinder (think D&D but better) over on Cool Zone Media Book Club for the next six weeks, and I figured why not start with a little prequel story as a teaser, complete with character art.

So horror books based around purity culture is a thing? You'd think the real thing would be horrifying enough. Anyway, The House's Daughter by April Boulware looks like it'd be a good read.

I’m so tired of hearing Rubio & other rightwingers now claiming that if you’re on a green card you’re a ‘guest’ in this country. BS. You’re a lawful permanent resident. The clue is in the name. If someone is a permanent resident in your home, are they the same as the guests who come and go? Come on.

So I keep a tally of people who give me a passive-aggressive "Merry Xmas" whenever I wish them a happy holiday. I thought the general public was slipping this year, but today I've been getting a surge of them. #nontroversy #waronchristmas

Been kinda in the market for tokens that some RPG players use in lieu of tokens. I get that fantasy-based systems are the most popular ones, but come on. There has to be someone out there that's actually branching out to other genres.

a core part of their grift is getting negative enagement & then boosting that outrage for media attention.

very similar to how Westboro Baptist Church picketed the victims of school shootings.

EX: Hegseth’s 2022 education book, Battle for the American Mind, pushes school voucher tax credits with the long-run goal of having most US kids in publicly funded classical Christian (aka Christian Nationalist) schools.

He quotes Ephesians’ “put on the full Armor of God” to fight for that goal.
Elon Musk is a distraction. The goal is not to eliminate federal jobs, but replace them with what the head of Project 2025 called an "army" of Christian nationalists.

Pete Hegseth and Pam Bondi are the most prominent examples. But the plan is extensive.
