My yoga nemesis, Gary, stopped coming to the class I do during lockdown but just the thought of his inability to stand at the front of his mat continues to power me through classes now.

I may have out Middle Class Twat-ed myself tonight - I am sat on a bus, eating a cinnamon roll from a hipster bakery, drunk on fancy wine and sherry, with a bag of stinky cheese, and listening to the Archers.

It's genuinely quite impressive how I managed to avoid all illnesses over the course of 3 very busy work months, with endless public events only to come down with something on the first day of my much needed 3 weeks off.

This has given me a flashback to early in my career when my boss expressed admiration for circuses ability to get posters in the window of every abandoned shop in the town centre and curiosity about how it was achieved.

Continuing the family tradition of not really doing advent calendars properly, this year my mum sent me one in the post, but it got a bit squashed and battered so all the chocolates fell out of their spaces and you have to jiggle it around like one of those marble puzzles to get your daily treat.

I went to the Young V&A and I don't know what I was expecting but a frankly alarming number of toys, games and even shoes (Hello Clarks Magic Steps!) from my childhood are now museum exhibitions.

A real patriot would always sit behind the flag so everyone else can properly respect it while they look at you.

Jonathan Creek was such a staple of 90/00s TV, it's not fair that it ended on such a dud episode, they need to make at least one more, ditch the boring wife, bring back Caroline Quentin and let Jonathan and Maddy sail off into the sunset like the fans have wanted for 30 years.
