Apropos of nothing, I really do think UK journalists and politicians need some reminding that mass deportation of LEGAL immigrants, particularly those with permanent status, is far more extreme than even Trump's America and would basically place Britain completely on its own among democracies.

I turn on my TV and a TV presenter is asking a Govt minister why they are talking about rolling out free childcare when the big issue is asylum hotels. This is objectively insane.

That clip of Pochin honking out her toxic racism with no statistics or even rudimentary analysis to back up her nasty, curtain-twitching beliefs… is a large part of why our politics is in such a mess. Viciously useless people being made MPs by voters persuaded to think that hatred will fix things.

Labour's solution to the 100,000 shortage in the care sector

Is to stop 50,000 more carers from coming to the UK

If Labour's solution is to train Brits to become carers, why not train 100,000 Brits to be one carers and end the shortage before cutting out 50,000 visas?

In Sackets Harbour, NY, ICE went door to door and took away third graders. 8 year old kids. They’re cuffing and detaining children and putting them in privately owned camps.

Sake.
Universities globally are now receiving such letters; the British Association for American Studies (founded in 1955 'to promote, support and encourage the study of the United States' lost their US embassy small grants funding in January for refusing to scrub 'DEI'. Which way will these groups jump?
Several French companies have received a letter from the US embassy asking them about the existence of internal DEI programmes, which could prevent them from working with the US government. www.francetvinfo.fr/monde/usa/pr...
