One of the reasons they're having trouble concocting a Left Wing Terrorism epidemic is basically nobody in this country has ever met a left wing person. You might as well say we're being invaded by the smurfs

Pritzker: "He wants to militarize major cities because he wants us to get used to the idea of troops on the streets. I believe he's gonna post people outside of polling places and if he needs to in order to control those elections, he'll assume control of the ballot boxes & count the votes himself"

Earlier this month, U.S. House candidate @katmabu.bsky.social, 26, was involved in a confrontation at an ICE rally that went viral.

“If they are willing to do this to a congressional candidate in front of a bunch of press, imagine what they're doing behind boarded-up windows.”

Just gonna keep tapping the sign*

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

An ELECTED OFFICIAL called for the EXECUTION of @jayapal.house.gov because she advocated peaceful protest.

That’s not how you take the temperature down. That’s not Patriotism.

It’s on all of us to call this out directly and loudly, for the good of our country.

GOP Official Calls for Democratic Congresswoman to Be Executed
As the nation talks about the rise of political violence, a Republican official blatantly called for Representative Pramila Jayapal to be hanged.

i took a stab at editing ezra klein’s most recent comments about trans people and electoral politics to make a point often lost by the american liberal commentariat
Klein: I think, from your perspective and from my perspective, we probably don’t believe hugely different things. But a huge amount of the country, a majority of the country, believes things about [edit: the jews], about what policy should be toward [edit: the jews], about what language is acceptable to [edit: the jews], that we would see as fundamentally and morally wrong.

And what politically — not in a column or something, but politically — should our relationship with those people be? Do we win them over? Do we compromise with them?

This feels like a very salient question. The Republican Party is going to make sure this is a relentlessly salient question.

Fortunately, history does not work as Hegseth seems to believe. It is never "settled" and the government cannot (at least for now!) impose its interpretation of events on the rest of us--especially an interpretation so at odds with the historical record. 6/

Only an administration intent on committing war crimes in the present and future would stoop to calling Wounded Knee a "battle" rather than what it truly was: a massacre of over 250 Lakotas, mainly women, children, and the elderly. 1/

Every pundit who took at face value the idea that the Right sincerely cares about free speech, or ideological diversity, or in fact has any principles at all, should be wearing a dunce cap and writing a lengthy mea culpa right now. Not for our catharsis but for public awareness at least

@lookoutnews.bsky.social has a story I had been waiting for someone to do, with this reminder: "Turning Point USA’s “Professor Watchlist” ... was used by two Turning Point employees to violently assault a queer ASU professor two years ago." (They admitted it, too: newsroom.asu.edu/statements/p...)
After Charlie Kirk’s Killing, Arizona Students Brace for Fallout
Queer students at ASU and UArizona say the death of the Turning Point founder heightens their concerns about violence and rising hostility.
