There is a devastating report in the NYT this afternoon that one the US-destroyed fishing boats washed ashore in Columbia and contained only evidence of marijuana.

Trump’s claim that he is saving the US from fentanyl smuggling by Venezuela is a disprovable lie.

I'm going through all the court cases that had big moments in the days before Xmas that piled up in my in-box.

Notably, a consortium of nonprofits and municipalities obtained a preliminary injunction against HUD, enjoining the Department from issuing its FY24-25 Notice of Funding.

Ding, ding! We have a winner. National Archives reported missing documents and that classified documents were inappropriately handled to the FBI. The NA spent months trying to get Trump to return docs and then contacted the FBI when a batch was returned and classified docs were mixed in.

Keep this in mind as tax season approaches.
The existence of billionaires is antithetical to a just and fair society.

Billionaires should not exist; they should be taxed out of existence.

The funds from that taxation should be used to end hunger and homelessness.

Challenge 2026: Stop letting voters off the hook. If we are to truly be a government "of the people, by the people and for the people" then the people gotta start acting like it.

1) Understand the government you have and how it operates; and

2) Participate regularly and consistently
We told everyone the best course of action was via the ballot in November 2024. America failed itself. Garland didn't fail us. Smith didn't fail us.

America failed to do the very basic civic duty of voting against Trump in numbers too massive to manipulate.

ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.
