Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

Sections of Nova Scotia's coastal regions are literally disappearing, thanks to the forces of erosion and politics.

Residents like Ralph Wardrope are watching part of their past crumble into the sea.

“I’m paying property tax for land that’s at the bottom of the Cobequid Bay," he says.
Castles made of sand: parts of Nova Scotia are falling into the ocean
Erosion rates along the Nova Scotia coast are variable, according to government documents — but residents are seeing it happen in real time as portions of their property are lost to the sea.

After cutting the gender equality ministry and ordering mostly women to end their strike to go back to unpaid work— it’s pretty clear Mark Carney’s government has no respect for women.

Because it's difficult to truly grasp how often these war crimes are taking place, here is a thread of some distinct incidents since June 1. 🧵

When doing paperwork for an internship I did in the US, the ethnicity was genuinely so confusing. I didn’t have an “other”/“mixed” option like in 🇨🇦. I didn’t know if I was Asian or Caucasian or something else. Don’t remember what I chose, but either way an argument could be made that I was wrong.
The NYT is so in touch with progressives that it assumed it could fabricate a “race faker” scandal about Mamdani and leave leftists to eat him alive. That is how utterly distant their editors are from actual, living souls whose brains haven’t been rotted by the mediasphere.

The metadata remains, but if you click through it goes to 'video not found':

Apparently the new Minister of Immigration is from a notorious Halifax slumlord family. 😳 (According to Redditors at least.) if true, that should have been a disqualifying conflict of interest.

That, combined with the new AI ministry, has me side-eyeing the new cabinet.

Meanwhile, outside these spaces it just feels like business as normal. The dichotomy feels so surreal.
