Magic Money Tree.

UK's last Conservative govt spent £134m on never-used IT systems for failed Rwanda scheme.

Altogether, billions wasted. Contracts handed to cronies.

Ministers ignored “value for money” advice.

No one held to account.

Left or right

Unhinged or not

Should not be allowed to dictate and dominate our UK politics and media.

This is a superb piece of writing and analysis by @stephenkb.bsky.social in which he takes apart Tory opportunism and pandering to Elon Musk over the grooming gangs and compares it to Farage’s consistent red line on Tommy Robinson. Compulsory reading.
Good morning. I hope you were able to have a good restorative break. My thanks to Jim, Robert, Miranda, Lucy, Jen, Jude, Chris and Georgina for minding the fort while I was on holiday.

This has to be the most dishonest reporting of an opinion poll I've ever seen

The survey actually found that over two thirds of voters *do not* think Starmer will be out of No 10 within a year.

Farage refuses to take anti bullying training as an MP👇🏼

It should be mandatory bc of all the cases of MPs bullying staff that have come to light❗️

We’ve seen Farage struggle to control his temper when interviewed re McMurdock, visiting US etc

Him claiming it’s “woke” doesn’t bode well for staff 🥴

Here's an example of a business impacted by the EU's new GSPR regulations which came in on 13 December. These make it harder for non-EU firms to export to the EU, and to NI.

Consequence? Lower UK exports, and less choice for consumers in the EU and in NI.

‘We’re getting poorer’ says Nigel Farage in his Beth Rigby interview.

I agree. The Brexit he championed is on course to cut UK trade by a staggering 15% - a huge reduction in the potential economic performance of the country at a time when every penny counts
