Love that @masterchefaus.bsky.social FINALLY got a First Nations chef instead of a white/european chef on for the inevitable once-a-series episode on native Australian ingredients, however it’s sad that it has taken 16 seasons to make it happen.

Happy World Penguin Day to all penguins, but especially Nils, who didn’t let living in Edinburgh (or being a penguin) stop him from becoming The Colonel-in-Chief of the Norwegian King’s Guard. He’s also been knighted. His official title is Brigadier Sir Nils Olav III and here he is looking regal af

My 3 fave TV shows at the moment coincidentally are all titled with the main character’s name, so I’m guessing this is the latest trend in TV land?

They are Matlock, Ludwig and Elsbeth.

Shopping for my unofficial niece’s first birthday and I’m going for a cutesy dinosaur theme with the gifts. Tell me why the only birthday cards with dinosaurs on them all say ‘Birthday Boy’ 🙃

So some guy was asked to remove a MAGA cap or leave a pub in Melbourne. He is now claiming it caused him embarrassment.

Mate you were wearing a MAGA cap, you can’t get more embarrassing in Australia.

I know most people in my life aren’t as chronically online as I am, so I will give it a week and then it will be super interesting to see which people I know on socials still follow AP and NG after the New York Times piece

Just a reminder that your ATAR doesn’t define you. It is not indicative of what you can & can’t do with your future. In 12months it will literally be an irrelevant number. I’ve known people who ‘failed’ and still went to uni later on and now have amazing careers. This is just the beginning for you.

We’re cancelling the guilty part of guilty pleasures. Wanna read romance books and drink cheap wine? Valid. Watch the trashiest reality show and scroll through Amazon? I support this. Listen to the same early 2000s pop song a thousand times in a row? Why stop there? Find that joy and SQUEEZE.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?
