Govt claims requiring all adults in Britain to have “digital ID” will “help control borders” and “illegal immigtation”.

That could only be true if police are given powers to require ID, without suspicion of a crime.

40 years ago today: "My Storm"

On Friday, September 27, 1985, Hurricane Gloria made its closest approach to southeast Pennsylvania. I was in 4th grade in Reading PA, and the schools had closed in advance of the coming storm. Though we had many snow days, that was my first and only "hurricane day".

The gutting thing is when I speak to anybody under 25 or so, and they… don’t know this is unusual. The only America they’ve ever known is this openly corrupt, broken one.
