There is a push among some orgs, "moderate" legislators, and even trans people to "give up the sports issue" in hopes that will stop hate.
I have watched moderates try this in 23 state houses.
It doesn't work. There is no amount of give you can offer that will stop them from taking.

When I told my parents about my depression at age 15 my dad bought a gun safe. I really can’t imagine the mindset of parents who have the exact opposite impulse.
This is America, man. Putting assault rifles in the hands of disturbed 14-year-olds who have publicly threatened to murder their classmates is the price of freedom.
