Hi, we’re the cool neighborhood Halloween house with projections and fog and full-size candy bars. And we’re canceling this year because assholes keep breaking and stealing our lights. I’ve taken down everything that doesn’t require a ladder, and we’ll put full-size candy bars in our own lunch bags!

@kyle-a-harris.bsky.social quick-easy-healthy recipe: while 4 large sweet potatoes cook, stir together a can of drained/rinsed black beans with big scoop of chunky salsa/pico (or dice a tomato + 1/2 onion, lime juice), a glug of olive oil, tsp ea coriander + cumin. Use bean mixture to top potatoes.

Failed attempts at removing an aphid infestation from my roses include ladybugs, a fetid spray made from alliums, and Neem oil. I finally blasted them off the roses using brief, careful bursts of the "jet" setting on the garden hose sprayer. Effective AND satisfying. Also pollinator-safe!

It's tough to refer to someone as a criminal if you've given them no due process to determine whether they're a criminal. Like if you get arrested and get a trial and are convicted of 34 felony counts. That's due process. You can call that guy a criminal.
