A federal appeals court ruled that Mississippi had to redraw its legislative maps. As a result, 14 districts affected by the new boundaries are hosting special elections this November. Democrats may flip several.

I went ahead and did the starting work for someone who wants to chase this angle. Most right-wing influencers who participated in the "Antifa" roundtable at the White House yesterday have easily provable ties to TPUSA (8 of 12). The other four need a closer look I don't have time for right now.

Interesting insights into thoughts on mass deportation in a @nytimes.com poll:

1. The message that ICE is out of control is getting through—by 9 points, people say the *process* has been "mostly unfair."
2. Despite this, people say ICE is deporting "people who should be deported" also by 9 points.
Which statement comes closer to your view about the process that the Trump administration has been following in deporting people over the last several months, even if neither is exactly right?

The process of deporting people has mostly been fair: 44%

Credit where credit is due. The Democrats' message that the GOP shut down the government because they want to throw millions of people off healthcare has broken through. Two of my cousins who are NOT AT ALL tuned into national politics told me that this is why the government is shut down.

Most Americans don’t want to kill other people.

But social conditioning is powerful. Propaganda is powerful.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking it couldn’t happen here.

This is why we have to defend trans people and immigrants. This is why we don’t cede ground.

if we do somehow beat the odds and make it to the other side of this, it won’t be because of senators, judges, governors or corporate execs, but millions of Americans collectively summoning some bravery and integrity and guts and donning the frogsuit to troll these shitheads. See you in the streets

“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

I can't emphasize enough how much everyone being like "nah" can shift the whole thing. If we all collectively said "nah" today, this whole thing would begin screeching to a halt.

The issue here is you got folks trying to sympathize with bigots and the messes with all of us saying "nah".

Letter from the editor: To tell protesters, ‘don’t take the bait,’ in the face of Trump’s attacks on Portland, both misses the point and ignores the reality many Oregonians face. “This regime isn’t fishing with bait. It’s fishing with dynamite,” writes @k-rambo.bsky.social

“Eliminate them from the existence of American society.”

This violent rhetoric is deliberate. Noem is a fascist in a fascist regime that wants to criminalize and ultimately kill its political opposition.
