The banner is a painting of the Ypres salient. It's desolate because I cannot believe what my fellow Americans voted for.

Jared Kushner's involvement was "not mentioned in Paramount's press release on Monday morning about its $108 billion bid, nor were participating sovereign wealth funds from Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Qatar."

fancy that
Jared Kushner is part of Paramount's hostile bid for Warner Bros. Discovery
Paramount is telling WBD shareholders that it has a smoother path to regulatory approval than does Netflix.

The shutdown deal shows us that Democrats still don’t have the caucus they need for this fight that will be going on at least through this decade, @joshtpm.bsky.social writes. But the shutdown also accomplished a lot.

This editorial consists of specious arguments about how the Democrats are losing the battle but winning the long-term 10-year war.

Those ACA subsidies are never coming back. And during Marshall's 10-year war, PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DIE BECAUSE OF THIS. THAT'S BLOOD ON HIS HANDS.

They don't want to do it. Look how they don't even acknowledge the Fuentes/Kirk schism.
JD Vance was unhinged in that Kirk monologue—encouraging violence against Democrats and refusing to take responsibility for the right’s rhetoric that vilifies any American who disagrees with Trump or MAGA. This could’ve been a moment for unity, but they just can’t do it.

Yeah, we can't let people know Charlie was opinionated carnival grotesque. Fortunately, that is already well-known.
The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

NEW: No, Charlie Kirk was not practicing politics the right way. That's what Ezra Klein said. We can condemn this heinous assassination but also recognize that with his 2020 election denialism and extremist rhetoric, Kirk built his movement with falsehoods and in a wrong and divisive manner.
No, Charlie Kirk was not practicing politics the right way
His assassination deserves full condemnation; his full impact should not be sidestepped.

Or you can not be morally outraged. Don't bring a copy of Roberts Rules of Order to gunfight. That's what they are counting on, easy wins.
We can be morally outraged by an assassination and at the same time acknowledge that Charlie Kirk’s racism and misogyny were immoral. Whitewashing his behavior and beliefs betrays the collective by masking how we got to this place in America.
Let’s Not Forget Who Charlie Kirk Really Was
