I grew up in the ‘80s and ‘90s. I remember once when I was 9-10 years old and my mom was helping me clean up a nosebleed.
I got upset about her touching my blood because I was afraid she’d get AIDS from me.

Kinda hard to 'look for the helpers' at a job that doesn't accept criticism of any kind.
It's really a struggle to have people look at your greatest asset as an annoyance, but when you lack morals or core values, it's hard to see empathy and compassion as anything other than a roadblock.
